Who knows… you might inspire the next stretch goal.

We just crossed £155,000 - Early Bird still live ⚡ - Two Stretch Goals Down! 🥳 ....WOW!!!
6 months ago – Thu, Sep 18, 2025 at 05:22:23 AM

DICE LOVERS....You asked. You backed. We’re building. We’ve just rolled through our first two stretch goals and they’re both big quality-of-play upgrades.
We just blasted past £150,000 in LESS than a day and we’re still rolling. Thank you for jumping in, sharing the page, and telling your tables about The One Dice.

Stretch Goals SMASHED: Accessibility Sounds + VTT Integrations

1) Accessibility: Sound Cues in the App ✅ (Unlocked at £30,000)

We’ve wanted this from day one. With your help it’s now a real, funded feature.
  • Audio cues for result reveals (great for low-vision players and faster table reads).
  • Configurable volume and style so you can keep it subtle… or dramatic.
  • We’ll keep exploring post-campaign to do this right clean UX, simple controls, and respectful sound design that doesn’t interrupt the flow of play.

2) Virtual Tabletop Integrations (Foundry / Roll20 / Alchemy) ✅

The big one everyone kept asking for: VTT goodness is coming.  This is something we will explore post-campaign. And making sure it is something we can implement going forward. Not guaranteed!
  • We’re scoping Foundry, Roll20, and Alchemy first.
  • Plan: a clean way for your One Dice rolls to appear in-app and on your VTT, with proper modifiers and logs.
  • This takes more coordination and design time, so we’ll develop and ship it post-campaign, sharing progress updates as we go.

What this means for you:
  • More ways to play at the table, on the couch, or online with your group.
  • A more inclusive experience for players who benefit from audio feedback and clearer roll states.
  • An ecosystem that keeps growing with you.

  • Fast Mode for instant number reveals
  • Roleplay Mode for cinematic, story-driven rolls
  • Multi-Roll in the app (2d6, 4d6+X, advantage/disadvantage, and more)
  • Party history so everyone’s rolls are logged
  • Premium build, 9–12+ hrs battery, USB-C charge base included

Thank you for smashing these early goals so quickly. We’re excited, we’re listening, and we’re building. Onward to the next unlocks! 💫

Fast Mode ⚡️ Are You Team Speed or Team Spectacle?
7 months ago – Mon, Sep 01, 2025 at 08:26:52 AM

Another look at Fast Mode.

Our new prototype shows instant number reveals when you want to keep the table moving. No long animation. No pause. Just roll and go. This is early prototype footage, and we’ll keep refining it but we wanted you to see it.  While we all love abit of theatre and roleplay, some of you just want to keep rolling. So hopefully fast mode can do that for you:)

More videos coming next week of the fast mode with more shaking and rolling:)

Tell us in the comments:
  • Are you Team Speed (Fast Mode) or Team Spectacle (full animations)?
  • When would you flip the switch—combat rounds, live-streams, one-shots, boss fights?
  • What’s your dream use case for Fast Mode?

Speed Rolling Ahead
7 months ago – Thu, Aug 28, 2025 at 08:26:21 AM

Hey everyone.

We've been testing new prototypes, including the FAST MODE option. Enjoy!

Not everyone wants to watch an animation every time. Some of you just want the result so you can keep the story flowing. Fast mode is for those moments.

Like anything, we are always testing.  After the campaign, we’ll keep refining the timing, polish, and overall feel. But we wanted to share where it’s at right now so you can see the direction we’re heading

This is just an early glimpse. And I think it's really cool :)

❓What do you think?
This is where we’d love your input:
 • How quick is quick enough?
 • Would you want a tiny flash, or a clean cut straight to the number?
 • Would you keep it on all session long, or toggle between animations and speed depending on the moment?

🎲 What would you use Fast Mode for first?
• Long RPG nights when you just want to keep the action moving
 • Family board games like Snakes & Ladders or Monopoly
 • Quick party games with friends

New Artwork coming to the phone app
7 months ago – Wed, Aug 20, 2025 at 09:51:24 PM

Hi everyone,

I wanted to give you a glimpse of some of the fantastic artwork being created for the app by the very talented artists. Some of these are very early exploratory sketches, along with initial colour options we have been exploring. We really wanted the artwork on the app, packaging, and everything else to reflect the same high quality as the animations that are coming in the future. Tom and Felix have spent months sketching and refining these pieces.

Tom and Felix are both from France, and both studied at the same art school. They joined the project some months ago. We have been exploring various art styles for each fantasy class as well as environments. Tom and Felix have spent months sketching and refining these pieces. This is just a preview of some of the stunning artwork in development. Much more will be shown in the coming weeks.
